Soldier Ride is coming up the second week of July. The ride out here will go from Amagansett to Sag Harbor and back, which is about 25 miles.
We come out here with over 50 wounded veterans. They'll start the first day, which will be July 16th, in New York City. They'll do a big loop around New York City on the 17th, a ride in Babylon on the 18th, and then on the 19th, they end up in East Hampton. That's when we do the ride from Amagansett to Sag Harbor and back.
On that day, as well as on the Babylon day, the general public can sign up and either create their own team or ride individually, and ride with the soldiers. It's a great way to show your appreciation and support for these veterans that have gone through what they've gone through.
It's a morning ride in the Hamptons, so you're done by lunchtime. A barbecue follows at the Amagansett fire department, which is also where the ride starts. Itβs a great and meaningful day out.
