From Chef Nick Reisini, of Honest Plate:
Mushrooms are amazing. I think the more and more that people study them, the more and more that they realize that mushrooms kind of run the world, in a way. They do say that the largest living organism on the planet is the mycelium network, which is all the mushrooms that go out throughout the world. They've even recently seen that they communicate with each other through the mycelium network. It's so cool.
It's basically about all the different kinds of healing and adaptogenic mushrooms and all the stuff you can do with them.
What's right on the cover are some really interesting ones.
Lion's Mane is kind of an in-vogue one these days, but anybody that doesn't know what Lion's Mane is or does - it's the only food on planet Earth that supposedly, take it with a grain of salt however you want, there's plenty of research and papers behind it, that can naturally regrow brain cells in your brain. You eat Lion's Mane mushroom and you start to grow new brain cells. That's pretty insane.
Same thing with reishi - reishi is great for sleep, for calmness.
Cordyceps, great for energy.
There are so many different kinds.
This is a comprehensive guide.
