By Amanda Duckstein, founder of Shadowbox Pilates:
When designing Shadowbox’s visual identity, I wanted more than just a pretty mark. I was searching for a symbol that embodied confidence and strength — something that would resonate on a deeper level.
The lion quickly emerged as the frontrunner. It just felt right.
Beyond its visual power, the lion carries personal meaning for me.
I’ve always had cats and felt a deep connection with felines. I’m also a Leo, which adds another intuitive layer to the choice — even if I’m not particularly into astrology.
The synchronicity felt natural, and more importantly, our community embraced it. The lion not only represents our brand, it reflects the quiet power we cultivate through movement and self-acceptance.
