For those who have visited their Southampton, NY, shops or the original upstate spot on the Delaware River, we know the Barryville General vibe: curated sensory spaces for foodies and fashionistas. It's only something a former NYU professor and ex-Levi's jeans executive could cook up.

Now BG is up-and-running on Avenue A, where Brooklyn Biltong shares a table with MonoStereo clothing and Christopher Makos coffee table books, and Big Fresh Bakery bread sits under an iconic Patti Smith and Robert Mapplethorpe print.

We don't know everything that's stocked at the boutique yet. We just know we need to get there.
