What’s Out Back

Behind Page restaurant in Sag Harbor lies another entity entirely: The Back Page, a versatile patio, bar, and event space that has undergone several transformations while becoming a local favorite.

This outdoor extension offers a more casual, flexible counterpart to the main restaurant, adapting to both seasonal demands and private events with equal finesse.

Evolution of a Space

The Back Page has seen many phases and styles throughout its existence. In the very beginning, it was conceived as a juice bar. Then with the acquisition of a liquor license, we reimagined the space as a lounge area – a direction that proved much more successful for this prime Hamptons location.

The Event Destination

The Back Page has become one of Sag Harbor's go-to venues for private events. We've added heating lamps, sides, and enclosures to make the space usable beyond just the peak summer months. It's now a major venue for rehearsal dinners, where we juggle being open to the public versus closed for private events.

From meet-and-greets over a couple of hours to fully catered events, the Back Page offers flexibility that's rare in Sag Harbor. Jackie handles our bookings and ensures the space is totally available for birthday parties, bar mitzvahs, rehearsal dinners, and more. We've created shore dinners for 25 people and can accommodate groups wanting to enjoy dinner together in a buffet setting rather than a formal sit-down.

Sunset Cocktails & Yappy Hours

When not booked for private events, the Back Page serves as Sag Harbor's perfect late afternoon to after-hours destination.

We're moving toward a 4 - 7pm sunset cocktails concept that cater to people coming off their boats who are looking for a place to drink while still enjoying the outdoors.

One particularly popular concept we've developed is Yappy Hour – a dog-friendly happy hour that allows patrons to bring their four-legged friends along. The Back Page is completely dog-friendly outdoors, distinguishing it from many other Hamptons establishments. 

Community Connections

The Back Page has fostered relationships with local charitable organizations, particularly No Dogs Left Behind, founded by Maura, one of the people deeply involved with animal rescue work. We've hosted fundraising events for them, with many of our own staff personally connected to the cause. (Our own Hooch was adopted through this organization!)

We're open to hosting cocktail parties, fundraisers, and other community events that align with our values. The more lounge-like atmosphere of the Back Page makes it perfect for these gatherings.
