South of Essaouira and Marrakesh, Agadir is where wide beaches meet the edge of the desert.
Resorts, surf breaks, and a bustling port city make it a favorite for both beach days and Atlas Mountain excursions.
Itβs bigger and livelier than Asilah or Chefchaouen β more cosmopolitan, but still rooted in Moroccan rhythms.
Agadir is the βdoor to the desertβ β plan a side trip inland to see kasbah villages or hike the Atlas foothills. But first, visit the beaches. They're beautiful.
