South of Essaouira and Marrakesh, Agadir is where wide beaches meet the edge of the desert.

Resorts, surf breaks, and a bustling port city make it a favorite for both beach days and Atlas Mountain excursions.

It’s bigger and livelier than Asilah or Chefchaouen — more cosmopolitan, but still rooted in Moroccan rhythms.

Inside Tip 📌

Agadir is the “door to the desert” — plan a side trip inland to see kasbah villages or hike the Atlas foothills. But first, visit the beaches. They're beautiful.
