Dining at The American Hotel is less about what’s new and more about what’s unchanged.

The hotel, possibly the oldest in all of the East End, let alone Sag Harbor, is a time capsule of late 1800s hospitality.

The staff are career professionals, the menu is classically French, and the experience is about consistency, not trends. But that’s not the only reason why locals keep coming back…

📌 Locals know about Limitless Lobster night, every Wednesday. It’s not on the website and it’s not advertised. 

📌 In warmer months, visit the American Hotel and sit on their front porch to enjoy an ice cold pour of the Bigfin, a double IPA from Kidd Squid, which hasn’t changed since the day they started carrying it.

📌 While you’re there, book a night in one of their 8 gorgeous rooms outside the summer months. Plan to be back for limitless lobster night.
