From Elizabeth Cassone of Windswept by the Sea in Bridgehampton:
The beaches around El Palmar are exactly my vibe β ocean views, surfy people, and beach bars every hundred feet serving fresh fish.
But I fell in love with Conil de la Frontera, just a 15-minute drive away. What really makes it special is what happens after the beach.
You rinse off, get dressed, and wander into town where everyone is outside, talking, playing music, sharing the square. It feels so open and communal.
Unlike places that can feel closed-off or exclusive, Conil is welcoming. That sense of inclusion means everything.
Mangueta, a nearby beach, is gorgeous, too. And if youβre into kitesurfing, donβt miss Conos, near the Trafalgar Lighthouse.
