From Ian Montgomery, Dreamy Coffee:
Almond is one of the best restaurants in the Hamptons — hands down.
The food is amazing – like the sea bass with risotto. But their team knows what they’re doing, so we always follow the server’s recommendation.
And then there’s karaoke. Every Saturday, it gets packed. Carlos runs it — he’s Peruvian, and his wife runs Guild Hall. We go just to sing a song. You don’t need to be good, you just need to show up. It’s one of those nights where you always see someone you know.
Sometimes we go just for karaoke, sometimes it’s dinner and karaoke. Either way, it always turns into a party.
One time I was there they brought out a Fudgie the Whale cake from Carvel and gave everyone a slice.
That’s Almond. Tasty and fun.
Also, it’s your call if you want to sing “Message in a Bottle” by The Police. Longest three minutes of my life. You just say the same thing over and over.
