The Scoop

One of my favorite things to recommend — no matter where you are in the Hamptons — is to stop at the Candy Kitchen. For ice cream, ice cream soda, or a milkshake, it always lifts your spirit.

The place has been there for 100 years, same building, same feel — and the people have been there just as long. They don’t take credit cards — it’s cash only — one of the only businesses out here that still does that. It’s a real institution.

Inside Tip 📌

If you’re here in the summer, you have to try the peach ice cream. It’s made fresh every day by Gus’ daughter and her husband. Their berry flavors are great too, but that peach — it’s the one.
