We're super excited about Southampton Playhouse, the movie theater that just reopened. It's a big lift for the community.
Very soon after Gene Hackman died, I went there and saw The Conversation, the Francis Ford Coppola film, and Scarecrow with Al Pacino. The fact that they were able to react so quickly in real time to the death of somebody who means so much to movie fans was really exciting and cool.
Along with great first-run films and big premieres like Mission Impossible - all the movies are coming to Southampton Playhouse.
Their IMAX theater is also something special. Itβs one of the smallest IMAX theaters anywhere, which creates an extraordinary viewing experience: an intimate space with a very large screen. I saw the Becoming Led Zeppelin documentary there, and it was unbelievable.
