Terrific Tapas

When in Sevilla, I always suggest Casa Pepe Hillo. It’s classic Andalusian tapas — white brick walls, bull heads, and all. The location is perfect: just two minutes from the river and right by the bullfighting ring. You can take a walk along the river or even rent a kayak before heading in for lunch.

It’s traditional, no-frills, and the flavors are so honest. I like the patatas bravas, but what I really love is anything pork.

What to Order

My favorite? El Lagartito — it’s the meat between the ribs of the pork, and it’s the juiciest. They grill it with thick salt and that’s it. No sauce needed — it’s that good.
