Cocktails here change a lot — we’re always playing. But some things will never change. The Ruby Rita, a blood orange margarita, is sort of the house cocktail. I put that together years ago, and Carl helped perfect it. It’s really delicious.
We also do aged cocktails. We love Old Fashioned's. We’ll do a Oaxaca Old Fashioned with reposado and a little mezcal, aged in barrel so it becomes mellow with this different style. That same base becomes a Oaxaca Negroni if you want.
And we put our twist on Spagliato del Capo. It’s prosecco, Antico, a little Campari, and Vecchio Amaro, which has a coffee note, with orange bitters at the end. It’s really smooth, really nice.
We also do spirit-free drinks. G&G has this Scotch Bonnet ginger beer we get from a Brooklyn guy—it’s spicy if you dig that kind of thing. And we pour Ghia too, a spirit-free aperitif. Uncle Waithley’s is the name of that ginger beer, and it’s really good.
