Even my wife, a third-generation Montauker, doesnāt know the secret recipe. But one thingās for sure -- the ratio of crispy skin to juicy meat is perfection.
Our chef Carolineās version at Sen could take the crown, but in fairness, we do small batches. Cromerās deserves a podium spot, too. But when it comes to the top contender in the Hamptons, Herbās still runs the show.
Get there between 10 and 11 a.m. -- thatās when the chicken hits peak crispiness while staying juicy. Get a bunch for the beach or your friends and family poolside at home. Wait too long, and you might miss out. They sell out fast.
