A Montauk Moment

Walking into Gurney's Montauk Resort you feel like you have finally arrived. What used to be a bunch of run-down beach bungalows were transformed into a beautiful seaside resort complete with a beach club that almost looks like a European beach club.

Actually, it definitely looks like a European beach club, it just doesn't sound like it. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on your music taste, the DJ likes to pump out thumpy, distinctly American bass.

If the thump-thump doesn't bother you but rather gets you in the right mood, this is a great place to come for a sunset cocktail, elegant dinner, or a late night out on the town.

You can also rent a beach cabana during season with bottle service - think European beach club. It's absolutely beautiful.

And there is also a spa, a bit of a rarity in the Hamptons.
