This classic seafood restaurant and its hometown was a hot tip from my Portuguese-Macau friends who have never led me astray.

You may have heard of Bilbao and San Sebastian in the Basque Country of Spain, on the Bay of Biscay. But likely not have heard of Castro-Urdiales, a leisurely seaside resort town just outside of bustling urban Bilbao.

I was thoroughly enamoured by the seaside town and its vibe, and definitely plan to be back. And next time I will be sure to visit Meson Marinero. It's not the kind of tip you easily brush off.
