In Montauk, I love visiting the lighthouse. Some don’t understand it. That's the thing - everybody has a different perception of it. Most people are like, Why are you going to the lighthouse? It's just a lighthouse. But it's not just a lighthouse. It's monument - it's what's in there, it’s what you see. It’s the feel of it.

When you go up to the top and look out over the ocean, you gain a perspective that connects you to centuries of maritime history. This vantage point offers more than just views - it provides a tangible link to all the sailors and travelers who have navigated these waters throughout history. The experience transcends simple sightseeing.

Pay the admission fee and go to the top of the lighthouse - it's absolutely worth the climb and the expense. 

However, the experience depends on your mindset. If you're not interested in learning about the history and connections, you might think it's just a lighthouse.
