What's in a Name
The Captain Kidd is a traditional pub on the north side of the Thames in Wapping — between Canary Wharf and the city. It’s where Captain William Kidd was hanged, and where his body was displayed. It’s got this weird maze of old staircases and crannies, built way before any kind of code. Rooms tucked into random corners.
It’s a meaningful place. It's where I had a last drink with my stepdad Gordon before he passed.
