Scene of a Speakeasy

You walk into what looks like an office building lobby. From there, a long, nondescript hallway. For you, maybe it's a level up. For us, it was down a stairwell. A button is pressed. A door slides open. And then: a dark, sleek interior.

Handshake is a two-story bar with a hip-hop vibe that feels like a 90s cocktail lounge in the best way.

The drinks are ridiculously good -- creative and complex, nothing like what you’d order anywhere else, but they taste simple and delicious.

We ordered a butter mushroom old fashioned and a deconstructed piña colada with pineapple, coconut, and coriander.

Handshake was the World's Best Bar in 2024. Reservations here are strongly recommended.
