Brunch Beyond the Ordinary

One of our favorite places in Montauk is Bird on the Roof. We go there quite often for brunch or lunch. They have a fun cocktail list and also a mocktail list, which is always nice.

The menu feels like they're incorporating different vegetables - nothing too out of the ordinary, but always a little unusual.

There's an egg and burrata sandwich that's really yummy. The service is always excellent, creating a consistently enjoyable experience every time we visit.

Evening Discoveries & Staycation Dreams

During our last visit, we noticed they seem to have a great dinner service and what appeared to be a speakeasy called The Birdhouse at night. That's definitely on our list to try this summer. The restaurant is part of a little hotel there, which has us thinking about a Montauk staycation. 

Even though we're only an hour away, being out there feels like a total reset - like you're really on vacation. It's hard for us to leave Sag Harbor in summer since it's amazing here and both my husband and I have businesses, but we're hoping to squeeze in three or four nights in Montauk so we could have a fun getaway, ride bikes, and actually stay for dinner.

They’re open 7 days a week at 8am for brunch. And keep an eye out for The Birdhouse speakeasy at night.
