The moment you step into Barryville General’s Goods Shop, you feel it — original 1919 floors that were hidden for nearly a century, now exposed in all their imperfect glory.
This space is mostly men's — or men’s-ish as we call it — as 40 percent of our customers are women. Women love to mix and match our vintage denim, military workwear and T-shirts.
The clothing reflects the space itself: authentic, with character, never trying too hard.
Our partner Sean Naughton brings serious credibility — he worked for Ralph Lauren, Levi's, Lee, and Wrangler in big roles. He's lived in the American denim world for decades, and it shows in our selection.
We have what's arguably the best vintage Levi's collection on the East End — pristine 501’s and 505’s alongside Japanese Levi's that denim collectors quietly seek out. Sean's expertise means we understand the difference between good and exceptional.
What defines our approach is the high-low aesthetic. You'll find $60 Wrangler jeans (what most Americans actually wear) sitting next to $400 Japanese-made Levi's. A $55 vintage T-shirt might be displayed near a $400 Italian-made button-down with incredible fabric. This isn't randomness — it's a very specific curation that feels natural rather than precious.
Among our most popular items are the ones we make ourselves. The BG T-shirt evolved from our frustration with fit — sleeves too long, torso never quite right. We designed what we consider the perfect T-shirt for us. Now it's become our signature — Sharone wears the white, winter or summer. We've expanded to sweatshirts and scarves in our house line, all with that same attention to fit and quality.
Three brands to know that you won't find elsewhere: Monostereo is run by two LA fashion veterans who've created their own line—colorful, pattern-forward, but still wearable for regular guys. We're their exclusive East End carrier.
For beach days, Bather from Canada makes our BG river shorts and the coolest bathing suits around — they're what the genuinely stylish guys are wearing.
And don't miss BSBEE from Italy — incredible button-downs with a loose, flowy cut that's perfect for the Hamptons heat. It's like being a well-dressed hippie, and we're the only shop carrying them anywhere around here.
