Every year during harvest season, usually around September, we take the team to Wölffer Estate for a day of grape picking. It’s our version of team building.
My son has joined us the last two years. At two and three years old, he was technically picking grapes, though he mostly ate them. Still counts.
Now when my team pours a glass of Wölffer wine, they can say: I helped make this. I try to discourage them from saying their blood, sweat, and tears went into it - nobody wants that in their wine - but the point is: it’s personal.
Look for the Wölffer wines in our lineup—if one of our team members poured it, chances are they had a hand in the harvest and can tell you some stories.
