From Eric, of Page restaurant:
Locals call it the Fish Farm, but it’s officially Multi Aquaculture Systems — a rustic seafood spot in a little corner of Amagansett known as Promise Land. Once a cannery where lobster was packed as cat food, it’s now a working aquaculture site where lobsters are raised and Ridgebacks are bred.
There are cats, dogs, chickens, and geese all wandering around. No frills. No pretence. It feels more like coastal Florida — or maybe a backyard café in Jamaica or Costa Rica. The kind of place where the food comes out on paper plates and you sit on plastic chairs and enjoy it.
There’s a little outdoor café with a short menu that might include clam pie or a lobster roll. The food is basic, simple, and absolutely hits the spot.
You can still go there and buy lobsters — some say it’s the best price around. A true hidden gem.
