Fire & Ice

We went to Hvammsvik, which is an amazing Icelandic spa on an inlet in Whale Fjord.

On a November day, we plunged into the chilly Atlantic and then warmed ourselves in several hot springs of differing temperatures.

If that wasn't relaxing enough, we swam up to a bar in one of the heated springs and ordered a drink.

The entire experience -- only 45 minutes outside of Reykjavik -- was icy, hot and awesome.
