From Karina Forrest, of Loaves & Fishes Foodshop:
Our ice cream is something we're really proud of.
We make classic flavors like vanilla, and chocolate. We use organic milk and cream, Valrhona chocolate for that deep richness, and whole vanilla beans you can actually see in every scoop.
Another staple flavor is Cappuccino Crunch — which has a hot fudge swirl and chocolate-covered toffee pieces. I’ve actually been told it’s the best coffee ice cream in America (and that I need a billboard for it!).
We also feature a new seasonal flavor every month. In summer it might be strawberry shortbread, while fall might bring a delicious spiced cider.
Texture is a big deal for us. We want it fluffy and light but still rich in flavor. Unlike store-bought brands that need time to soften, ours is scoopable straight from the freezer. We sell it in pints so you can always bring it home.
We don’t scoop to order — so plan to grab a pint (or two). Seasonal flavors can sell out fast, so check what’s in the case when you visit.

Loaves & Fishes Foodstore has been part of Sagaponack since 1980. Now in its third generation with Anna Pump's daughter and granddaughter at the helm, the market stays true to real food made from scratch. The menu changes weekly — keeping locals excited while preserving favorites like curry chicken salad, schnitzel, sesame noodles, and that must-have molten brownie pudding.
