The Taco Tour

Taco Mensch is a three-hour taco crawl through Mexico City, seen through an insider’s lens

The tour starts at Cintli, an organic tortilleria where you watch the process from maize to tortilla -- no preservatives, made the old way. You taste the difference.

From there, it's fava bean shells stuffed with cactus, a ginormous fish taco, and the stop everyone talks about: El Tizoncito, the place where taco al pastor was created. Pork on a spit, carved like shawarma. A favorite of the day.
