From Yogeswari, a senior Jivamukti teacher and founder and president of AZAHAR Foundation:
Last winter, a friend and I were looking for a place to eat. We couldn’t get into one restaurant and found Trishna, which means thirst in Sanskrit.
We were very lucky to be seated at this small Michelin-starred spot, which is from the team behind two-star Gymkhana.
Located on a little side street in Marylebone (about a 15-20 minute cab ride from Love Supreme Projects), Trishna is very quaint, artistically done and cozy. As for the food, it’s out of this world.
Even other tables were commenting on the dishes, which are influenced by the cuisine of Southwest India.
We tried the aloo tokri chaat (potatoes with masala chickpea, tamarind, and sweet yogurt) and the wild mushroom biryani with cashews and a pink peppercorn raita.
The food was light and amazing; the wine incredible, as well.
Make a reservation here. You’ll feel the love while entering the door.
Tip: If you can’t book a table, Trishna delivers within a three-mile radius.
