Hampton Kitchen Delicatessen is a real neighborhood spot — a classic American deli, but with a Latin flair, thanks to a chef overseeing its operation and six incredible ladies in the kitchen. They’re making unbelievably good Spanish food daily. The meanest guacamole. And our tuna salad? The Pilates ladies say it’s the Hamptons’ best-kept secret.
The steam table — or as we call it, the comida case — is our bread and butter. Fresh, hot dishes made daily. Very popular with trade workers, but we’re trying to expand that base. It’s for anyone who wants solid food and doesn’t want to overpay — like at Goldberg’s, where a sandwich can go for $16.50. Ours? $8.50.
We’ve got all the classics — BLTs, turkey clubs — plus a few house favorites. The Watermill Cutlet, for example, is probably our most popular, people call it the best chicken cutlet on Long Island. It’s simple: chicken schnitzel (back to our Alpine roots), lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions. The caramelized onion is key here.
We also do chopped sandwiches now — the whole thing gets slapped together, chopped up, and piled into bread. A Chopped Italian has the same ingredients as a regular Italian, just hits different, because every bite is a perfect bite.
Our Chopped Cheese is New York’s answer to the Philly cheesesteak, and in my opinion, better.
A new rotisserie program is live, too — grab a baguette at Alpina Swiss Bakery next door, a roast chicken here, and dinner’s done. 🥪
Ask for Rosa. She’s the sandwich maker, and she used to run her own deli. She’ll make you a custom sandwich and she’ll mean it.
Also, we’re extending hours and might even do 24-hour service in the summer - save this card and we'll tell you when we do.
The card was written by Hamptons resident Robin Mueller, a television director of photography and the co-owner of five Long Island restaurants: Alpina, Green Hill Kitchen, and Anker in Greenport and Alpina Swiss Bakery and Hampton Kitchen in the Hamptons.
