A Very Merry Event

On Saturday, December 13, from 3 – 5 PM, Grenning Gallery hosts a Holiday Shopping Party featuring select wines from Sag Harbor Liquor Store and a fine cheese platter from Cavaniola's.

It’s the perfect occasion to explore the gallery, get to know the team, and spend time with work from Grenning's exceptional roster.

About Grenning Gallery

Grenning Gallery has been part of Sag Harbor since 1998, founded by Laura Grenning, who opened her first space in Soho in 1997 after nearly a decade as a sell-side stock analyst in NYC and Hong Kong.

A move to her summer home on Shelter Island led her to plein-air painter Nelson H. White — now 93 and part of a storied lineage of painters and art historians.

Through White, she connected with the Florence Academy of Art in Italy, where she met an extraordinary group of classically trained painters. Instead of pursuing her own painting career, she chose to champion theirs.

Today, Grenning Gallery features classically trained painters, including local Abstract Expressionist Darius Yektai, world-renowned artist Hunt Slonem, and beloved impressionist Ben Fenske, known for local landscapes and outdoor figurative works.

The Team

Besides Grenning, the team includes Gallery Manager Megan Toy, a Sag Harbor local with a degree in Art History who has been with the gallery nearly a decade and serves on Sag Harbor's Architectural Review Board.

Also on hand: Zola, a 7-year-old Mini Australian Shepherd who has been part of the gallery since she was 8 weeks old.
