A favorite of Jesse Matsuoka's of Sen:
One of the best dinners in East Hampton is at 1770 House. And if you’re heading to 1770 House, the downstairs tavern is cozy, intimate, and you feel like you’ve escaped from everything.
Everyone raves about the meatloaf — only offered in the tavern — and it’s good. But honestly everything is fantastic. The fluke ceviche with hijiki? A bomb.
Chef Michael Rozzi runs a tight kitchen, and GM Michael Cohen has built one of the best wine lists in town. He’s a wine aficionado, a buddy, and someone who truly knows his stuff.
Go downstairs in the winter, book the garden in the summer. Only available during the summer season, their outdoor dining with the upstairs menu is absolutely beautiful.
1770 House is a little getaway within the Hamptons.
