When the restaurants are full to the gills, Sen brings the party to you. That’s where the fun begins. We love designing off-menu experiences that break the routine — fully customized and totally over the top. My team gets to be creative, and you get a party no one forgets.

Elvis at the Cinema

We work with both Sag Harbor Cinema and Southampton Theater to create themed dinner-and-a-movie nights. For Elvis, we built a full menu based on his favorite foods. I even dressed up as Elvis for the night. It was hilarious — and fun to play the part.

Barbie Goes All Out

When Barbie came out, we served pink sushi rolls and pink pigs in a blanket. The food was served in Barbie houses and Barbie cars. And to get into the spirit, I dressed as Ken — plastic blond wig, turquoise short shorts 

The Ice Luge Moment

For a birthday party, we worked with Okamoto Studios to create a custom ice luge in the shape of the birthday girl’s face. Guests poured tequila down through her mouth. Her friend that was throwing the party wanted everyone to make out with the birthday girl all night, and everyone loved it. 

The 400-Pound Tuna Party

We’ve also done parties with a full tuna breakdown — 400 pounds, laid out on the table. Our sushi chefs break it down right in front of the guests, and people get to scrape the tuna straight off the backbone. It doesn’t get any grander than that.

This card is by Jesse Matsuoka, a Hamptons resident of over 25 years. A sake sommelier and co-owner of Sen, a legendary Japenese restaurant in Sag Harbor. Born in Manhattan, grew up in Tokyo, Hawaii and Sag Harbor, and married to a third generation Montauker.
