I love taking people to our usual beaches, but there are also some great drive-on spots along the bay side. You can cruise out to hidden points, set up a bonfire, go fishing, listen to music — it’s exactly the kind of thing we do with friends and family.

We also have beautiful estuaries, ponds, and coves perfect for swimming and paddle boarding.

A Secret Spot

One of my favorite places is a local pond where you can actually snorkel. The water is crystal clear with big four-foot gold and silver carp swimming alongside you. It feels like flying through an underwater forest with all these surreal freshwater plants.

It’s super safe, but not something most people even think to try. I grew up across the street from one of these ponds — it’s just part of what we’ve always done out here.

For over a decade, Salty Sessions has held the only license for Ocean Road's breaks in Bridgehampton.

Founder James McMahon staffs the school with lifeguard-certified pro surfers who speak three languages and teach students from ages 3 to 75+.
