Cristen Motty, co-creator of the Off Hampton Film Festival and co-owner of Hampton Photo Arts & Framing, lets us in on her favorite hangouts.
La Hacienda is our favorite Mexican takeout place ever. Their shrimp burritos are so good.
It's a local family place â they're all from the area, went to school here, everything. It's great, so good. You really can't go wrong with anything there.
Their hot sauces (red) are actually hot, and their mild sauces (green) are mild.
Their pozole soup is the best I've ever had. It's a pork-based soup with these little corn kernels, like hominy. It gives it this nice texture, like a chickpea texture. Just try it.
They also have horchata that's so good. And in the summertime they have this fruit drink â jugos â it has no added sugar. It's just so good.
They have little tables in there and on the sidewalk if you want to sit, but we usually do takeout.
It's cash only, but it's worth it. And they have an ATM machine on-site.
