360 Sunset Views

The Green Room is one of the best-kept secrets in the Hamptons. Sitting on the third floor of Sag Harbor Cinema, it’s the only commercial space in the Hamptons with an unobstructed sunset view over town.

Designed with mirrored back walls to reflect the changing sky, the bar was meant to be more than just an add-on to the theater – it’s a place to linger, to talk, to keep the night going.

A Bar Built for Film Lovers

The drinks program leans into its cinematic roots, thanks to bar manager Deborah Lee, who’s been there since day one. Cocktails take inspiration from movies – think a Dune-inspired drink named after a sandworm and other playful nods to film history.

And here you will find the best priced drinks in the Hamptons. The Green Room is part of a nonprofit, meaning the money saved on rent goes straight into keeping drinks refreshingly reasonable.

What’s Happening Here?

✔️ Tuesdays at 6PM: Movie-Themed Trivia – The cinema team curates deep-cut film questions for true cinephiles.

✔️ Thursdays at 6PM: Close-Up Magic – A resident magician – who literally wrote the book on it ("Grandpa Magic") – performs weekly sleight-of-hand tricks. You can be on top of him, you can be behind him, in front of him, to the side of him.. I still can't figure out what he's doing.

✔️ Sunset Hours: The Must-Do Experience – There’s no better view in town. In fact, the executive offices were converted to create this bar with a 360 view and even a terrace.

Inside Tip 📌

For a long time, The Green Room operated as a membership-only bar, keeping it a true hidden gem. Now, it’s open to anyone, but plenty of people still don’t realize they can just walk in. You don’t need a movie ticket to go – just head up to the third floor, order a drink, and take in one of the best views in the Hamptons.

And if you are there for a movie, Deborah will give you your drink in a to-go cup to take into the theater.
