We’ve worked with Outstanding in the Field for years now. If you haven’t heard of it — it’s kind of a roving farm-to-table experience.

They partner with farms around the world, set a single long table, bring in a chef, and host these beautiful open-air dinners.

The Original Look

They were really the first to do it. Those long, infinite tables you see everywhere now? That look started with them.

Starring Chef Jason Weiner

Here in the Hamptons, Chef Jason Weiner from Almond is often the guest chef. He’s a natural. It’s not just cooking — it’s a full-blown performance. Fires going, ovens blazing, dishes coming together right in front of the guests. It’s theatrical, and he’s a master at it.

How It Works

Outstanding in the Field moves around. They showcase different farms and locations, and they always come through the East End toward the end of summer. We’ve hosted them twice at our home farm, and we’re doing it again this year — September 7th, starting at 3 pm.

Community Ties

They also partner with a nonprofit, usually a local food pantry, so a portion of the $425 per-person ticket sales gives back to the community.

It’s a for-profit business, yes — but they do a beautiful job, and always tie in a charitable component. In a place like the Hamptons, that kind of redistribution and support feels important.
