From Kyle Fengler, co-owner of Loaves & Fishes and Bridgehampton Inn & Restaurant:
If you're looking to explore the great outdoors during the off-season, I'd recommend two of my favorite spots.
Walking the cliffs in Montauk near Camp Hero is really wonderful — the trails are beautiful and open.
Whether you're with friends, family, or your dog, it's always feels new and invigorating.
The Morton Wildlife Sanctuary is another favorite. It's open year-round, with a bird sanctuary and trails that wind down to the beach. When I lived in Noyac, I used to bring my single kayak and go out on the water — all year round. For me, that's not weather-dependent. Morton's is a great place to feed the birds, walk, or just get outside.
Morton's is less than ten minutes from Sag Harbor — an easy little escape when you need air and space.
