Southampton History Museum opens the historic 1843 Rogers Mansion Complex after dark on October 24 for a paranormal investigation led by Long Island Paranormal Investigators (LIPI).

This isn't a ghost story tour in an allegedly haunted house — it's a working investigation where you learn the methods and use the equipment.

How It Works

LIPI walks you through their techniques, shares findings from past investigations at the site, and then turns you loose with paranormal equipment across the Rogers Mansion, One-Room Schoolhouse, and Sayre Barn.

You'll get 15 minutes of training, then 45 minutes to investigate the mansion itself.

The Sessions

Two time slots available: 8 to 9 PM or 9:30 to 10:30 PM. Show up early to check out the Schoolhouse and Barn before your session starts.

Park behind First Presbyterian Church across the street. Get there early to explore all three buildings before your timed session begins.

The next day, October 25 from 11 AM to 4 PM, the museum hosts its Haunted Village Experience—safe trick-or-treating through the historic village, chilling folklore rooted in Long Island lore, and a costume contest at 2:30 PM with prizes for the most creative, creepy, or historically inspired attire.
