East Hampton brings Halloween to life with village-wide trick-or-treating and a Golden Ticket Challenge hidden inside library books all season long.
East Hampton Village transforms into a candy-filled wonderland on Halloween with trick-or-treating from 2 to 5 PM in the village center.
Streets off Newtown Lane (Cooper, Sherrill, Conklin, McGuirk) closed to cars starting at 4 PM for safe trick-or-treating.
Running October 1 through November 30 (or until all 24 are found), the Children's Golden Ticket Challenge hides 24 invisible golden tickets inside books in the Children's Room at the library.
Kids ages 2 through Grade 8 can play: select a book from the Children's Collection, check it out at the Circulation Desk, and if your book contains a hidden golden ticket, you win a real golden ticket and a gift certificate from a local business.
