From David, of The Beacon and The Bell and Anchor:
I went to London for a few nights this past Christmas, then all of us drove up to the Cotswolds, which was fabulous β really beautiful country.
We stayed at Cowley Manor, which supposedly is the place where Lewis Carroll β the Alice in Wonderland guy β gobbled a lot of something and saw the whole story unfold.
It's a very special property, a big old manor house. That alone made it memorable.
We hit a couple great pubs β The Bull was one of them, really fabulous. It was hard to get into a lot of these spots. These are Michelin-graded pubs, but they still felt comfortable. Smart service, great atmosphere.
Odin, my daughter Lucyβs dog, was right next to us at the pub. Itβs a different cultural vibe from our restaurants here, but it felt perfect.
