A Winter Journey

I went to London for a few nights this past Christmas, then all of us drove up to the Cotswolds, which was fabulous — really beautiful country.

The Wonderland Stay

We stayed at Cowley Manor, which supposedly is the place where Lewis Carroll – the Alice in Wonderland guy — gobbled a lot of something and saw the whole story unfold.

It's a very special property, a big old manor house. That alone made it memorable.

Inside Tip 🪄

We hit a couple great pubs — The Bull was one of them, really fabulous. It was hard to get into a lot of these spots. These are Michelin-graded pubs, but they still felt comfortable. Smart service, great atmosphere.

Odin, my daughter Lucy‘s dog, was right next to us at the pub. It’s a different cultural vibe from our restaurants here, but it felt perfect.
