Arts Center or Bust!

The Southampton Arts Center, housed in the former Parrish Art Museum building, continues to honor its legacy while creating new traditions. 

Many longtime residents hold nostalgic affection for this historic space, which maintains its role as a venue for art exhibitions, community performances and talks.

Additionally, the center has evolved into an educational resource, offering numerous art classes from beginner to advanced levels. These workshops provide valuable opportunities in an area where formal art education options have diminished over time.

The outdoor garden featuring Roman emperor busts remains one of Southampton's most charming secrets, accessible to everyone at any hour. Evening visits offer a particularly atmospheric experience.

Cristen Motty and Ben McHugh co-own Hampton Photo Arts & Framing, the artist-centric framing, printing, and archival center that's served the East End's creative community since 1989. Cristen and Ben run the Southampton shop as fellow artists who've exhibited in local galleries, participated in art collectives, and co-created the Off Hampton Film Festival.
