As co-creator of the Off Hampton Film Festival and co-owner of Hampton Photo Arts & Framing, Cristen Motty has a sixth sense for under-the-radar art shows â and the creatives behind them.
Coming off a group show at East Hampton's White Room Gallery, Brad Beyer is known locally for his dual identity: portrait artist capturing musicians' lives and trusted Hamptons home inspector.
The two distinct sides of his professional pursuits aside⌠his dynamic presence and enthusiasm are the epitome of a Gemini.
Working sometimes on large-format canvases up to 40 by 60 inches, Beyer literally pencils in biographical details about each singer's life directly into his portraits.
His playful pieces strike a compelling balance between visual artistry and biographical storytelling, creating portraits that reveal as much about the subject's journey as their appearance.
We think youâll find them fun, precise and original - whether youâre a music lover or not.
