If you are fortunate enough to visit the area, do not miss the Alcazar of Seville—it is an exquisite jewel box of a palace. Still home (on the upper levels) to the royal family when they are in the region, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the buildings and gardens are phenomenal. The details of both Christian and Moorish architecture combine to create a unique environment.
It's worth staying a minimum of two hours—as my party walked around the interiors and gardens we kept discovering new details and views: orange trees, lights, geometric tiles, arches, topiary, peacocks...it's all there and you'll want sufficient time to take it in.
