The Perfect Citrusy, Low Alcohol Summer Ale

It’s summertime in the Hamptons. You want to grab a few cans of beer for the beach. Sip easy by your pool while doing a bit of work. Or meet a few friends for a beer and a bite al fresco with some live music.

Enter Kasu. A yuzu rice lager that was a limited edition collaboration between Kidd Squid and Sen for Sen’s 30th anniversary in 2024. 

At 3.4% it’s a low alcohol beer, a full percent lower than any beer we’ve made, which makes it perfect for summertime.

And the citrusy yuzu notes - if a lime, a lemon and a grapefruit had a baby, it would be something like a yuzu - married with dry sake yeast was such a crowd favorite that we just had to bring it back this summer.

Where to Get It

Come to Kidd Squid’s Tasting Room and enjoy it in our spacious outdoor space with picnic tables and heating lamps, and walkabout our Garden Center neighbour’s seasonal flowers. Pick up a few cans for the beach or pool.
