This was our little Brooklyn escape last Sunday, tucked into Carroll Gardens — just the kind of slow, wandering day we needed. And we stumbled upon the sweetest little cheese shop called Lea Fromages.
There was a handwritten sign outside advertising the sandwich of the week: one with ham and provolone, another just cheese and local honey. It pulled us right in.
Inside, it smelled incredible — funky in the best way, but still fresh and clean. The shelves were filled with beautiful cheeses, many from Europe, and we loved exploring every corner of the shop.
We came home with a French blue cheese from Auvergne that was both creamy and crumbly. Total delight.
Lea Fromages is definitely worth a stop if you’re looking for something special — and very pink card worthy.
