Tucked west of 7th Avenue on Bleecker, I found L’Accolade—a little French restaurant that feels effortlessly authentic. It’s the kind of place that feels like it’s always there for you, even if you’ve walked by a dozen times without noticing.

Oysters, Martinis & a Garden Too

The three friends who started it clearly put love into every detail. There’s an adorable back garden, and before 7 p.m., they offer $1.50 oysters and $10 martinis that are genuinely well-made. It was one of those unexpected, joyous magical evenings.
