Summer's Ready-Made Solution

When it comes to home entertaining or picnicking, Round Swamp Farm is our go-to.

We tend not to cook much in the summer - other the grilling, of course! - so we rely on their excellent prepared foods. It's the perfect solution for beach picnics and casual gatherings - so easy to grab a few items and be ready with a spread that looks and tastes like you spent hours in the kitchen.

Early Bird Gets the Eggplant Parm

If you do go (they have three locations - Bridgehampton, East Hampton and Montauk), I always try to arrive really early in the morning because it gets incredibly crowded as the day progresses.

Their selection of prepared foods is outstanding - they have a delicious cauliflower salad that's consistently excellent, perfectly grilled shrimp for picnics, gluten-free brownies that we never skip, and various salads including a wonderful corn succotash.

Last summer, I discovered their eggplant parmesan, which was absolutely the best I've had.
