Our chef, Alejandro Osorio, is originally from Mexico and has been with us for five years now. He previously served as the chef at Stone Creek Inn for about 20 years.
When we had our first conversation, it was the right person at the right time - a match made in heaven. He's an incredible chef, remarkable to work with, and runs an excellent kitchen. Beyond his culinary skills, he's incredibly creative and empathetic, truly everything you could ask for in a chef.
The restaurant opened in 2014 and offers a very comfortable experience - it's really about being welcomed into somebody's home.
Our staff has been here for quite some time, and they remember faces, names, conversations, and the family members you've brought in the past. It's all about care and attention to detail, from accommodating seating preferences to remembering personal tastes.
Though we have white tablecloths, we don't want guests to feel they need formal attire - just come with good behavior.
The space -- which includes an outdoor patio -- serves as a refuge from the highway outside, offering privacy and tranquility where people can take a deep breath, unwind, and be a little more vulnerable while enjoying a lovely meal.
Our menu changes monthly, but certain items either remain throughout multiple rotations or return in different variations. Chef Osorio is particularly adroit with seafood, especially local catches.
His poached lobster dish is exceptional - served with sautéed spinach, wild mushrooms, and a saffron-tarragon-fennel emulsion. We source local lobster whenever it's available.
For breakfast, which we serve seven days a week from 8:00 to 10:30, our innkeeper Serene (in her 32nd year with us) personally prepares the morning meal. Her omelets, made any way you prefer, are particularly renowned.
