Cristen Motty, co-creator of the Off Hampton Film Festival and co-owner of Hampton Photo Arts, lets us in on her favorite spots:
Lighthouse Seafood Market (formerly known as Cor-J's) offers a genuine connection to the Hamptons' fishing heritage.
Visitors can watch boats arrive and unload their catch, which moves directly from dock to market case with minimal delay.
The selection follows seasonal patterns, with crab season (July through September) bringing particular abundance.
Unlike many seafood purveyors, everything here comes from local waters, supporting traditional fishing practices.
Inside Tip 🪄
For an even more direct ocean-to-table experience, look for Red Truck Seafood parked along the road before Ponquogue Bridge, where locals sell catch directly from coolers. Alternatively, a family stand on Flanders Road offers generations of fishing expertise along with the day's harvest. Everyone should go here. I want them to be there forever.
