From Rory, Kidd Squid Brewing Co, Sag Harbor, NY:
Walking the South Bank of the Thames is one of those things I never get tired of. Iâll usually start at Tower Bridge and make my way west, sticking close to the river all the way to the London Eye - the carousel. There are plenty of places to duck into along the way â pubs, shops, whatever catches your eye. No walk is complete without a stop at Borough Market.
At Borough Market, I always stop by the seafood stall for cockles with vinegar.
And just around the corner is The Rake, probably my favorite bar in London. Itâs highly curated, and only pours microbrews from across the continent, Western Europe and the UK. They also have pork chitlins, served warm, that is great with the beer. Itâs where I can one-stop shop a bunch of different breweries that Iâve never heard of and taste everything.
Find the seafood stall - thereâs only one - and order the cockles with vinegar. Donât touch the oysters. Then go around the corner to The Rake for chitlins and beer.
